What is your SECRET?! (It's No More Binges.)

Wheeeeee! A GLORIOUS FREEDOM.

Wheeeeee! A GLORIOUS FREEDOM.

The other day on Insta, Glennon Doyle, recovered bulimic and a writer I really admire who has helped me A TON, spoke about how very much of her thoughts were still occupied by food, weight and eating concerns. I think she said 50%.

Which ... maybe you agree with Glennon that's a lot?

Or maybe you're saying only 50%?! GLENNON WHAT IS YOUR SECRET!

(I have felt both ways.)

I can't tell you today how much of my thoughts are still occupied by food, weight and eating concerns. I mean! They definitely occur. But I have lost track of such thoughts. They are not very interesting to me anymore. They absolutely can't seize control of my arms and legs and march me to the bakery anymore.

It's like Hafiz says: As if the 10,000 idiots packed up and left town.

Reader, if those 10,000 idiots left my brain I did not stand on the corner and wave goodbye. I did not ask for a forwarding address. I have to reason to believe they didn't really go all that far.

But I just don't give a shit.
It's like I can't EVEN HEAR THEM. I don't need to know what they are saying or all about their little plans for dragging my ass down. I have my own plan.

I call it eating meals. I BET you've heard me talk about it. Going in ONE STEP from problem eating to eating meals is the foundation of my whole body of work. It's the first thing we do in No More Binges, and it takes almost no time at all, and it isn't even hard.

It is a glorious experience of freedom.

If you would like to get you some of that, you can sign up here

And you can also get yourself a nice discount today. (And tomorrow. After Wednesday the discount is gone).

I will say this: Many of my thoughts about food are things like "maybe I'll make a gâteau basque this weekend!" Or, "oooooh, I can't wait til this virus dies off so I can get all dressed up and hit a Barbara Lynch joint and get a bottle of orange wine and WATCH PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW" or just "wow, I'm so excited for my breakfast today!" All guilt-free thoughts.

As I say, a glorious freedom.

So here's that link one more time.
